Trafalgar Entertainment connects people through creative, innovative experiences by providing inspiring entertainment for everyone for life. At The Chiswick Cinema we are now recruiting for a Team Member to join our Front of House team.

Shifts are flexible/variable, but currently we are mostly looking for people who can work weekends (both or either day) and evening shifts after 4pm.

Here at The Chiswick Cinema, we are an exciting luxury venue with five screens and a lounge and terrace for food and drinks, along with a vibrant café downstairs. There is a 16-seat screening room with a private dining area attached.

The Role:

We are looking for people who are customer focused and want to give exceptional service to our members and customers in this exciting new offering. We would like team members who are passionate about films, food, and customer service. This is a varied role, and one day you could be selling tickets and serving drinks at the bar and the next serving food and drinks in our Taycan Lounge. It is our priority that we become part of the local community and that our customer service reflects that.

Duties:

• Providing world-class customer service, adding that personal touch and ensuring all our customers leave happy and wanting to return to us.
• Open and close all areas of the building safely and to the highest standard.
• Be knowledgeable about the cinemas offering and facilities.
• Cleaning the screens between each performance.
• Ensure you are aware of the product we are screening and the times of the films we are showing.
• Have knowledge on the film classifications, and ensure they are enforced.
• Ensure all screens are monitored for comfort levels and film piracy.
• Ensure all areas of the cinema are cleaned to a high standard throughout the day including screens, toilets and back of house areas.
• Ensure all supporting paperwork is completed and signed off by a Duty manager.
• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
• Inform customers about special offers
• Up-sell additional products when appropriate
• Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software.
• Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
• Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
• Serve food and drink orders
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
• Respond to customer complaints and queries and resolving them when you can.
• Be knowledgeable about the services and facilities Chiswick has to offer including the memberships.
• Ensure you process all transactions correctly and in line with company policy
• Guide customers to the right screens and seats where necessary
• Follow food hygiene policies and Health and safety practices
• If there are any breach of H&S policies, ensure management are informed
• Ensure all lost property is processed in the appropriate manner.
• Attend monthly staff meetings

• Exceptional and engaging customer service skills
• Passion for film and high-quality service
• Previous experience working with food and beverage essential.
